"The pro's: Spacious rooms well equipped for self catering; washing machine, dishwasher, microwave...etc. The hotel is very large with big open areas for sitting and chilling in if you so desired. The con's: where to start? The beds were uncomfortable and the sofa bed was horrendous. We asked for it to be changed and nothing happened. The tv's barely worked and only had basic channels from different countries. The all inclusive was one bar open from 11 - 6 and then another opening from 6-11. The first bar was outside and so if it was raining you had to get wet to get a drink. The entertainment was one bar and one item. There were plenty things not on all inclusive like pool towels and swimming caps (both of which were compulsory) so we didnt use the indoor swimming pool. There is a gym and a games room. The food was very very basic and sometimes not cooked. Whoever gave this place 5 stars needs to comeback, would struggle to 3 star in the UK."

"Booked this for few days. Just got back. Please read the honest reviews because they are the most accurate. Not a 5* hotel, average 4* at best. Couldn’t understand how they have achieved the 5 star rating but I will go with assumption it’s due to the gym/Spa facilities. The maid rocked up at 5/6 pm, made bed that was it. We were in our room at this point due to time of year. An old sock could be seen but still not picked up and the windows not cleaned in months. The room was classed as Deluxe. 😂 very old and tired looking. The main reception area does look nice and welcoming. Staff pleasant enough but in the dining area struggled to make a smile. The food was definitely not 5* eating. Breakfast cold, soups cold. Meat dishes reused and same cakes kept coming out. No wine glasses, expected to drink from a tumbler and when asked if could fetch me one, it was no we don’t have them in dining room. Tried some of the dining out places with was part of all inclusive. Very basic with set menu. Couldn’t believe how they served up the Indian, it was like being in prison with a silver tray and your food plonked on. Pool area nice but never been to a hotel where you can’t go outside until 9am. Bar doesn’t open until 11am. Two hours after you have sat outside. Never been to a 4/5 * hotel where you have to pay for a pool towel which is non refundable and they refuse to change them if wet, we got told once a week we can change them. 🤦‍♀️. Entertainment what we saw of it as we wasn’t interested anyway. Was the usual hotel animation team. Tried the spa once. Nice pool but you have to wear a swim cap. Steam room nice. Hotel not close to the beach or the old town or the Strip. Good 15 minutes walk, not going to suit someone with walking issues unless you get a taxi. Albufeira however is lovely and would highly recommend going. Would I stay at this hotel? Only if I got a cheap deal but this doesn’t come up cheap because it’s given the 5 stars. Somethings should simply come as standard if you have been given this rating. End of season or not, it shouldn’t fail on things that a paying customer should be entitled to."
