Cerro da Marina

"A lovely, 24 room, adults only hotel, on the marina side of Albufeira. The hotel is well presented, sitting on the hill above the marina - hence the name! The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast choice was very good suiting British and continental tastes. The gardens, pool and jacuzzi were very clean and well kept. If all residents were to use the facilities at the same time (they don't) there would be plenty of room for everyone - no competition for sun beds! The hotel is 600 metres from a small supermarket, 1km from top of beach and restaurants, 1 mile from old town and 1 mile from the marina. It is tough walk back to the hotel (uphill) or a cheap Uber for the faint hearted. All the staff were excellent - cleaners, cooks, reception etc. We had an early flight transfer (4.30am) - the hotel knew and left us breakfast items in our room to take with us - a nice touch. We used the hotel as a base to do activities and would spend a few hours relaxing around the pool before going out for a meal in the evening."

"Very friendly welcome. Great facilities. Peaceful and very well appointed. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Scrupulously clean. It was well away from the town so no noise or nonsense. The breakfast was varied with every imaginable food provided. Although the walk back from the old town was steep, we enjoyed the exercise. A really peaceful relaxing holiday."
