3HB Falesia Beach

"Spacious room with great balcony. High standard of cleaning. Very good breakfast. We ate a couple of times in the restaurant and food was tasty. Decent portions. Good pool area with another pool for exclusive use of Falesia beach residents. Good spa facilities. Staff very friendly. Lots of steps to beach but there are rest points with benches."

"After having already tried various hotels in the Algarve, we were at the 3HB Falesia Beach for the first time and will definitely come back! At first glance, the huge hotel complex is daunting, but everything here is well thought out, so we were able to feel really comfortable and unwind. The room was recently renovated and furnished in a very atmospheric way; everything matches in color (brown-beige-gold). We had a Nespresso machine in the room; the capsules are refilled every day, as are the water and cola in the refrigerator. If you want, you can even use the microwave in the room... The bathroom works; the shower has a hand shower and rain shower to choose from. The lighting is good. We particularly appreciated the large, covered balcony, where we could sit comfortably in the shade and enjoy the dreamlike view of the rugged cliffs of Praia Falesia and the sea. The breakfast is very good. We particularly liked that they consciously split the guests between the two restaurants in the morning, so it was not overcrowded. In the evening, the restaurant "The View" is recommended, where we could marvel at the setting sun and the sea with an open window front, but covered. The music is subtle and calm. In the Falesia Bar, there was nice live music every evening from 8-10 PM, for chilling with a good drink. After that, quiet. There are two pools available: the larger one with a sea view and the somewhat quieter, smaller one (without children). You can also reach the sea via a staircase. The staff is well-trained, very polite, and helpful. The large parking lot was covered with large solar panels, so the cars are protected in the shade and behind a barrier that can be opened with the room card."

"This place is genuinely nice - everything is new - everything is clean and everything works as it should. I have stayed at 3HB hotels before and the concept is fabulous. We were fortunate to go after the summer school holiday rush so the place was peaceful and efficient. The rooms are extremely comfortable absolutely clean and the staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and everything is fresh and it doesn't end until 11am which is great for a slow start to the day. The private premium areas are a great addition where 'certain guests' can enjoy peace and a heated pool, plus an amazing spa, gym and free drinking water all day long. Drinks prices are reasonable for the standard of the hotel and location. Room maintenance and cleaning is 5 star. None of those pesky messages asking you to re-use your towels to save whatever. I am paying premium and I want premium - not to be told to save the hotel money on washing. Every day you get fresh towels, fresh beds and a choice of 4 different pillows from super soft to very firm. My only criticisms are as follows and they are all very minor: 1. Smoking is only allowed in select areas and there are never any ashtrays available and those areas do not have umbrellas to shade you from the heat. You can however smoke on your balcony in peace. 2. Apart from the breakfast which is amazing, I found the daytime food selection rather bland. It was good, but nothing outstanding. They have a buffet if you want to eat a truckload of food but I always find that I cannot appreciate a dish when served in buffet style as you lose the flavours to all the other options available. However; to be fair to them the buffet was good and priced at 33 Euros per person which is a typical hotel price. 3. The walk to the beach is a bit of a schlep, especially if you struggle with stairs and climbing a hill but once you get down to the beach it's very pleasant and two fish restaurants to choose from - both good. In conclusion I will definitely be returning to 3HB next visit to Portugal. Their Faro hotel is also wonderful but I will put that in a separate review."
