"I had mixed feelings about this hotel prior to going there based on some reviews but I was pleasantly surprised when I actually went there. The hotel has a modern feel to it and I was happy with most aspects of our room. It was a good size at the back of the hotel so quite quiet. The shower was good, had enough towels / toilet rolls, and the toiletries on offer were a combo shower gel / shower gel & hand wash. The hairdryer was one that was located in the bathroom, pretty standard for European hotels. They also operate a policy where they only clean your room every 4 days which didn't bother us at all. We didn't make use of any of the facilities on offer but I liked how you could buy snacks/food at reception should you wish to. We did enjoy an al fresco drink on the roof terrace which was nice and the hotel was in a convenient location, a 10 minute walk from the station & close to bars/restaurants and the main sights of the city. The only thing I would point out is the bed is really just a mattress topper which can move a bit during the night, but I found it to be quite comfortable and had no issues sleeping. There is also no room safe & no air con, but we were able to open the window at night & it was pretty cool anyway in Oslo in the evenings so it wasn't really an issue. There are also construction works going on outside, but it didn't bother us at all. And finally the hotel is really good value for money which was another plus point in a city like Oslo! I would recommend it."

"Fair enough, you get what you pay for but this place was shockingly bad: while the communal areas were bright and buzzy, the room just felt dusty and grubby. There were questionable white stains on the curtains and the beds were flimsy and really prevented me from getting a good night’s sleep. Staff were just apathetic to questions about where I could store my luggage. The gym was just about passable but I would really like to know when it was last cleaned and who stole some of the equipment that appears to be missing."
