"Travelled from Oslo airport to Oslo S by train that costs 134, the train was packed. Home Hotel is a few minutes from the station. Checking in was quick and Alanand was very helpful. Got to our room, a bit of a shock initially with the black furniture and red lights. There is no safe or slippers but does have a TV, tea/coffee, small fridge and Wifi. Breafast was plentiful with hot and cold dishes. There is Fika (tea in the afternoon) and dinner in the evening. This is served on the 7th Floor. There is tea/coffee in the reception area as well. We booked a walking tour and then visited the places we liked. We took a ferry ride to the small islands but getting a ticket was difficult unless you have an App. As the Indian PM was on a visit, there was plenty of security and small demonstrations otherwise a wondeful trip. There was no housekeeping, you have to ask at reception for fresh towels or book in a slot to have the room made up. The gym is in the basement, it is well equipped. The location is great but in the evening there are a few people high on drugs and many beggars asking for money. Things in Oslo are expensive so make sure you have plenty of money. I got transport tickets (46 each) from Narvesen."

"Best city hotel i have ever stayed in. Friendly helpful Staff. Elegant common areas. Great food. Dinner is included even if you just pay for B and B. Fantastic location. Easy walk to many sites and near the sea. Tram outside the hotel for anywhere else. Airport has a train to Oslo central railway station. Hotel is 8 minutes walk from there (probably more with bags). Plenty of convenience stores, bars, restaurants nearby. Only issue room very hot as it is a building wide heating/ cooling system, no individual aircon. I had difficulty sleeping."
