"My booking at the Intercity Hotel Amsterdam Airport was initially intended for a one-night stay on October 4th. Unfortunately, the reservation dates were incorrect. The dates requested were for November 2025 instead of October, one month later than needed. I attempted to modify the booking with your staff, but no rooms were available for the correct date. As a result, I had to keep the original reservation, which I would now like to cancel. On October 4th, I was urgently searching for hotel accommodations in Amsterdam due to widespread flight cancellations caused by a severe storm. Unable to find any available rooms, I booked a stay at the Intercity Hotel for alternative dates, hoping I would be able to modify the reservation afterward. I reached out to the hotel both in person and via messaging to request a modification, but in both situations, I was informed that no changes could be made. I was advised that all amendments or cancellations needed to be handled directly through Booking.com. Since then, the issue has been repeatedly passed back and forth between Booking.com and the hotel, with both parties stating they are unable to assist with my request for reimbursement. Throughout this process, both Booking.com and the hotel have demonstrated a complete lack of understanding and willingness to support their customer. I would strongly advise future clients that, in similar situations, neither the hotel nor Booking.com appears willing to show the flexibility, openness, or assistance that travelers reasonably expect."

"Stayed for two nights in mid-June as a solo traveller. Room was clean and simple, with all of the amenities I needed for my stay but without feeling minimalist. Check in was simple and staff both friendly and efficient. The lobby was lovely and the restaurant looked very well done as well, though I did not have the opportunity to try it. Bed was comfy and overall the room was spacious. The TV had a number of channels to choose from, including English options, and the Wifi was strong and steady for the duration of my trip. The bathroom was well done and the shower had good water pressure with the water getting truly hot if you need it to. I declined housekeeping given my shorter stay but the towels and other amenities provided at check in were enough to tide me over. The hotel is a five minute walk from the Hoofddorp train station, which is itself maybe 5 minutes from Schipol Airport with lots of options running throughout the day. I found the "Sprinter" service most helpful as it seems to run between Hoofdoorp station and Amsterdam Centrale pretty much continuously most hours of the day. I did walk into town and it took about 20 minutes to get to the heart of Hoofddorp/a large shopping center. There are two flights of stairs to contend with if you are rolling luggage, the first is only 4-5 steps up but the second is about 20 up and then again down. On the plus side, right by these steps there is pasture for cows to graze and I saw them multiple times, despite my stay being short!"

"The staff are great and welcome you with a smile. The hotel is clean, modern and has a bar and restaurant. I had a problem with TV remote control, rang the reception and 5 minutes later turned up to resolve. If I need to stay near Schiphol Airport this is the place I would stay in the future.. "
