Corendon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

"What a pleasant surprise this hotel turned out to be. I recently attended a two-day event at the hotel, which is why I decided to stay overnight. The hotel is part of Marriott Bonvoy’s Tribute Portfolio, and as a Platinum member, I received a very nice upgrade. The room was spacious, with an excellent bed, perfectly working air conditioning, and a practical bathroom with a good shower. The bathtub was located in a separate part of the bedroom, although unfortunately I didn’t have time to use it. In the morning, there was an extensive breakfast buffet with plenty of choice. Both the hotel and the surrounding grounds are very well maintained, and the staff were consistently friendly and service-oriented. It’s always nice to arrive somewhere without any particular expectations and leave with such a positive impression. I would definitely stay here again."

"Having stayed at this hotel every year for the last 5 years when we visit Amsterdam i’am really disappointed to see how much standards have dropped since the Marriott takeover this was a fantastic hotel however some staff are now very unhelpful unprofessional and disorganised they now charge you a fee to use the shuttle to the airport which defeats the point of it being an airport hotel also i was nearly charged €330 euros on checkout for a room that was already prepaid because of an incompetent member off staff on the desk who was also not interested in how are stay was we feel sad not to be returning next year but unfortunately this hotel isn’t what it used to be thank you"

"Day pass booked for Corendon Village Hotel Schiphol. We were not familiar, although booked 6 weeks before arrival. The arrangement consisted of High Tea, which they put together quickly. Then a tour of the Boeing 747. On our ticket it said the movie started at 3:30 PM. We had already seen on the internet that only the Odyssey was showing and that is a long film that started at 3:00 PM. Requested, no problem. We could do the tour, the film wouldn't start before 3:15 PM. When we returned from the tour, the film had already started. We had to go down the stairs in the dark to the cinema, without railings. Upon arrival, there was a disaster of wheelchairs lying in the middle of the hallway / on the stairs, with a passage of only 25 cm. Because this was not illuminated by an LED strip or lamps, I fell over the edge with a sore ankle, shin, and neck. I could just grab onto a curtain that was coming down. Popcorn and drinks would be arranged, we had to get someone for this again, because it wasn't arranged. The cinema was old, dirty, and very broken, like the small tables. Then dinner in the all-inclusive restaurant and not familiar with that either. We were initially not allowed into the restaurant until we said that the problem was Corendon's because we were unfamiliar. We had already booked on August 11th for September 27th and received confirmation. In the restaurant the fire alarm went off every 2 minutes because the ventilation is not good, so there was no quiet dining. Complaint forwarded multiple times, but no response, apology, or acknowledgment of receipt has been received. And while I could have broken something! I have been switched off for a whole week. It's really scandalous that you don't get a response. Very disappointing experience and definitely not recommended!"
