"We went to Amsterdam for a weekend and booked this hotel. The hotel has its own parking where you can park for 25.00. After we had parked the car, we could take the metro that stops right outside the door with line 2 to the city. After a day in Amsterdam, back to the hotel, where we were kindly welcomed upon arrival and could check in automatically. Upon arriving in the room, we were surprised by the luxurious room, large beds, beautiful bathroom, in short, just a top room. Enjoying breakfast in the morning at the extensive breakfast buffet. After checking out, we enjoyed another day in Amsterdam, after which we picked up the car at the hotel and went home. If we have one small point to mention, "the sheets were freshly washed," but there were 2 stains in them. But having said all that, we will certainly come back here again"

"Stayed in this hotel for a family trip when my daughter was starting her semester in university. Lovely , furnishings in room a bit dated but we like the location as it’s right in front of a tram stop. Plus it’s v near to the airport. On top of that it’s near to some supermarkets like Albert Heijn. There were some eateries nearby too. Willl definitely return."

"This was my third occasion staying at this hotel. This hotel is located outside the central area of Amsterdam but easily accessible by tram at the front door. The room was a reasonable size and the decor stylish. The Reception staff were generally friendly, helpful and spoke good English There is a small shopping precinct including supermarkets about 300 metres from the hotel, and an ATM within easy walking distance. The breakfast menu is reasonably extensive and typical of the XO chain generally; the ambience in the breakfast area is pleasing. The staff in the dining room were friendly and helpful. The free wi-fi worked extremely well and there was a pod-style coffee making machine in the room. During my stay (on the 7th floor of an 11 story building), on 10 August, an Evacuation alert sounded (a repeating recorded announcement, only in English) at approx 06:05am. All guests were instructed to evacuate the hotel forthwith. After packing a few essential items, I evacuated the hotel using one of the fire stairwells, which was full of people descending the stairs to exit the hotel. There were no additional live announcements from anyone associated with management of the hotel. After 10–15 minutes, people began returning to their rooms via the stairwells, ignoring the recorded Evacuation announcement which was still sounding. Perhaps someone from management had verbally advised them it was a false alarm and they could safely return to their rooms – however if this were the case, I heard no such “all clear” announcement over the Public Address system. The Evacuation alert/announcement eventually stopped, but no follow-up announcement from any local hotel management representative was ever forthcoming to explain what had happened and that guests could safely return to their rooms. I found this lack of local hotel management leadership and announcements about the situation to be quite disturbing, and it left me concerned for the safety of guests and staff in the event of a real emergency situation arising. On 13 August (& again on 18 Aug) I wrote to the site Hotel Manager expressing my concerns about the evacuation procedural shortcomings. I received an expeditious reply, thanking me for the feedback regarding guest safety etc. and assuring me that procedures would be reviewed and remediated, as they took guest safety very seriously. Having heard nothing further, on 23 August, I wrote to the Operations Director of the hotel chain, requesting an assurance that the review and remedial action proposed had been carried out - or at least initiated. Again I received an expeditious reply (24 Aug) reflecting essentially what had already been conveyed by the site Hotel Manager, that they take guest safety seriously etc. and that a review would be undertaken, and that they “...appreciate your patience while this process is ongoing”. As of the date of writing this Review (18 September), no such assurance has been received by me."
