"An amazing hotel with good rooms and a good view . Our check in was well managed the reception was kind to give us a room with a great view , easy acess to the tram and metro is one more great thing about this hotel . we roamed quite a bit of amsterdam thanks to the great connectivity in the city due to the easy acess of the tram. will always go back to XO Coture for my next visits in Amsterdam"

"First impression was a total disaster. We arrived at 2:15 PM after a 10-hour flight with a one-year-old toddler and were told by staff that our room was ready, but we had to wait another 20 minutes to check in. I assume the self-check-in machine is programmed that way, but they were more than capable of checking us in a few minutes earlier to accommodate a family with a young child. Instead, they went back to drinking coffee and laughing while we sat there patiently waiting after having the audacity to even say that our room was ready. Unfortunately, this hotel looks much better in the pictures than it does in reality. The beds don’t have what feels like a proper mattress just a thin pad that was hard as a rock. The pillows were just as hard and very small. Our room was visibly dirty. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a very long time. There was hair everywhere, dirty juice bottles under the bed and by the curtains, and candy wrappers as well. The shower had mold, and the wall tiles were dirty too. The staff was not friendly at all. Every time a guest needed assistance, they seemed annoyed and inconvenienced. The one time we requested housekeeping, they took one of our room keys without any explanation. To make matters worse, the power in our room went out for no apparent reason, causing us to lose an entire morning and delaying our plans to explore the city. We couldn’t wait to leave this hotel. Even though we extended our stay in Amsterdam, we chose to book a different hotel instead. I will be contacting the hotel regarding a refund, as everything we experienced was unacceptable."

"I genuinely struggle to find anything positive to say about this hotel. The room had no air conditioning whatsoever. When I complained that the room was unbearably hot, I was simply told to "open the window." Unfortunately, the hotel is located next to one of the busiest highways in Amsterdam, meaning opening the window resulted in constant traffic noise throughout the night. Sleep was practically impossible. After further complaints, I was eventually given a fan. Sadly, even that was broken. There is no restaurant on-site. When I asked the receptionist where I could get dinner, I was literally pointed towards the vending machines. Not exactly what you expect when staying at a hotel. We ended up having to walk around the corner to find food and even basic necessities such as bottled water because none was provided in the room. The surrounding area felt incredibly unsafe. There were people openly drinking, smoking, and loitering in the streets. Several individuals appeared heavily intoxicated, with some seemingly passed out nearby. It was far from the welcoming and safe environment you would expect when visiting Amsterdam. The service was equally disappointing. When we asked for a glass, the one provided was filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. We purchased food from a local shop and politely asked for a plate, but were refused. Somehow they couldn't provide a plate, yet they managed to hand us a plastic knife and fork. The staff throughout our stay were dismissive, unhelpful, and at times outright rude. Every request felt like an inconvenience. I've stayed in budget hotels, hostels, and roadside motels across Europe, and this was by far one of the worst hospitality experiences I've ever encountered. Between the unbearable room conditions, lack of basic amenities, poor service, questionable cleanliness, and the atmosphere surrounding the hotel, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Avoid at all costs."
