WestCord Art Hotel Amsterdam 3 stars

"Throughout the hotel, from check-in to the restaurants, we were met by friendly, helpful, efficient staff members who made our stay even more enjoyable, I am never surprised anymore by how well and easily the Dutch switch between languages and that made communication more like a conversation than just questions and answers. Everything was bright, clean and in working order. The room was quiet, the blackout curtains worked beautifully, and the bed and even the pillows, which are the bane of this travel's life, were very comfortable. Breakfast was an ample assortment of fresh and tasty foods to appeal to every taste. Every morning we swore we would moderate our breakfast eating and every morning we ignored our vow. There were plenty of staff to clean tables and replenish foods as they disappeared. On warmer mornings there is a lovely outdoor eating area, but it was a but chilly during our stay. The free internet was reliable and fast. I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel, which for us represented a refreshing change from the American chain hotels that seem to isolate the traveler from the joyful experiences of the country being visited. We were sorry to leave."

"Nice Hotel, great and relaxing experience"

"I had originally booked to stay further outside of the centre, but saw this last minute which was so much closer. Lovely, quiet hotel a short distance away from the hustle and busy if the centre with everything you could need. Staff were all lovely and eager to help, with so many extra special touches which made our stay great! Travel by bus from outside the hotel was just so easy- tap on and off with your bank card and only about 5 stops. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, with all the toiletries you would need for a short break. Lovely and much needed “pod” coffee machine, kettle, mini fridge, iron and hairdryer in room. Iced water, boiled sweets in reception and even an option to “rent” an umbrella. Really lovely hotel, with amazing breakfast buffet offering- full breakfast, continental, yoghurts and fruit, and delicious pastries. There is the option to have lunch and dinner in the hotel, but menu is fairly limited and we found a lovely supermarket just a 5 minute walk away. Had a lovely stay with my son and would definitely return. Thank you all so much."
