The Social Hub Amsterdam City

"We had a De Luxe Studio room, which is one of the hotel's new rooms. We found the room quiet and well equipped. The area with the bed in is a bit small. but the bed is big and comfortable. There are two main reasons why this review is only 2 stars. 1. The only TV channels available are in Dutch. 2. It's not possible to change the temperature of the room. There's no printed information in the room, just an instruction to use a QR code. But the information on the QR code does not apply to the new rooms. It says to change the temperature, insert your key-card into the box. But there is no box in the new rooms. For assistance it says use the telephone to call Reception. But there is no telephone in the new rooms. We have relatives who live nearby, so we stay at this Social Hub regularly. We were also there at the end of April with the same problems. The staff are always friendly, and helpful if they can be. The manger was shocked that we had no way to raise the temperature in the room (in the middle of October), nor to get TV channels apart from Dutch ones. He has offered a rebate and a discount for our next booking, I hope the company respond too, and fix their problems."

"I've stayed in the Social Hub several times while attending exhibitions in Amsterdam. It's ideally located for access to the RAI and the city. Without the crowds of the tourist areas. The rooms are a great size the breakfasts are great too. The general atmosphere is calm and friendly."

"Nice rooms but working being done . Only rating 5 star as staff were nice and so was the room . We were given the room via easyJet cancellation however Disappointed to have no facilities/games room and if i had paid full price would have left earlier. The works were quiet and they have to do upgrades at some point. As far as the room it was 6/10 amazing looking . But no ac even after being told it was the windows being opened which weren’t. This was across 3 rooms and over night they got hot even though we set on cold and 15deg"
