SIR Albert Hotel

"Great location! Easy walking to the Museumplein. Canal adjacent. My room had a balcony and was excellent. Modern with lots of light. Bathroom also modern and very efficient. My favorite amenity was the Bento Box room service availability from the Izakaya on the ground floor. Convenient for a stormy night. There is a nice sitting area/library with a fireplace. Wonderful for waiting and hanging out."

"This hotel is in De Pijp a now vibrant neighborhood. The center of the city is close and so are the museums and parks, and the airport is a quick hop. Great location indeed with many restaurants a quick walk around the hood. The breakfast buffet was not what you’d get in a typical hotel of that category, more like airport lounge choices, not refined and differentiated. From the coffee, to the juices, the breads to any limited warm options. I booked a bigger room and it was still tiny, no sofa or other chair to sit in, no space for that, just enough space to get out of bed….I can’t imagine what regular size rooms would look like!"

"The hotel is average. One lift, airless corridors and open plan rooms with noisy AC. Outside the hotel, the bohemian area is slightly less appealing at night. I returned to the room quite quickly. What ruined the stay, was an erroneous post check out charge for snacks. I never use anything in a room and on this occasion even checked if the water was complimentary. I recollect a basket of snacks which I moved. To be subsequently charged for both snacks and a drink was one thing, but to ignore my follow up emails on what this related to was unacceptable."
