"We had a wonderful stay at the Park Centraal Hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel is located just steps away from Vondel Park and a five minute walk to the museum district. Our room was lovely and spacious. The staff was very helpful and so nice. A special shout out to Jesse and Bruna."

"Just returned from a short city break & paid nearly £300/night at Park Centraal hotel. It’s officially a 4* hotel & in terms of reception staff it certainly is. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived & then a bit disappointed with the Deluxe Double room; the choice was a quiet room at the back or canal view at the front so we opted for the latter having seen so many lovely photos of properties overlooking canals. As we’d only just been dropped off at the front door by transfer taxi we hadn’t sussed out the hotel’s perspective as it was a busy main road. Our ‘canal view’ turned out to be overlooking the busy road junction but you could just see some canal boats through the trees. We were told by reception that the canal view rooms were not as quiet but didn’t make the connection with traffic! Anyhow, the noise wasn’t a problem for us sleeping with the windows closed. So, disappointed with the view & particularly with the standard of room; it definitely wasn’t what I’d class as ‘deluxe’, the fixtures & fittings definitely need an upgrade as it was very tired for 4* & seemed at odds with the general hotel environment…but not to worry as we were going to be spending very little time in it. The hotel breakfast made us feel much better about the price as it was excellent; the usual self-service, lots of choice, hot/cold options etc & we certainly didn’t need lunch! All staff extremely polite & helpful, location good for walking to Museum Qtr, park & into old centre etc. Comfy footwear/trainers a necessity! Takes about 30+ minutes to walk to Anne Frank house-there’s no chance of going inside unless you book several weeks in advance! We had a great walking tour with Aaron; about 2hrs around the Jewish area & lots of detailed history."
