Novotel Amsterdam City

"Very often I doubt myself as to why do I bother maintaining Platinum membership at Accor but not in this hotel during two nights business stay. They have dedicated check in for top tier members, I found out that my room has been upgraded to executive one, my high floor room preferences have been considered and to my amazement they escorted me to special corner at the breakfast which included something bubbly (it was too early, I opted fir espresso). Ah I was also offered late checkout. There were sweets with a note waiting for me in the room. So I got all benefits and more. It is rare example in Accor network and you can see from m my account I review each property. Hotel room is typical Novotel but it was practical and bed was comfortable. Window did open a crack. Executive has fridge full of drinks which are complimentary (including small wine and beer). There is an iron. Unfortunately no bathtub but walk in shower. Not sure why people complain about the location, tram 4 takes you go the centre in 20 min and the ride is scenic. Tram is nearby and runs frequently. RAI station is 3 min walk and takes you to Schiphol airport in 10 min - 2 train stops. This will now become my default hotel when in Amsterdam."

"Here for a business event - we used the conference facilities as well. This is well set out and very organised business hotel. You're quite a long stroll from the city centre, so I'd suggest you get public transport in if that's your goal. But as a business hotel, this pretty much hit the mark. The rooms were maybe a little small, but well organised and set out. The desk was very handy with multiple power ports. And there was an ironing board and iron available! The conference facilities we used weren't enormous, but still decent enough for a smallish event. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, which was great. Strongly recommend for business."

"Good hotel, clean room, calm area but far from downtown 🙁"
