Nova Hotel

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our constant choice in Amsterdam for years! We have stayed at the Nova Hotel at least six times in recent years and always return with great pleasure. That says enough actually. 😊 The service is always friendly and correct, and the communication is also very smooth, both beforehand via email and during the stay itself. The rooms are beautiful, sturdy, and always tidy. The beds are comfortable, the showers are good, and a refrigerator in the room is a nice extra. Ideal for chilling some drinks yourself, especially with an Albert Heijn nearby. There is also a coffee machine in the hall where you can get free coffee. ☕️ The breakfast is also a big plus: tasty, extensive, and with plenty of choice to start the day well. We find the location really ideal. You are located in the middle of Amsterdam, within walking distance of many sights, shops, and restaurants, but the hotel is pleasantly quiet. Even with the tram passing nearby, we have never experienced significant noise pollution. For us, it is a familiar address where we know we are in good hands. ❤️ Our next stay is therefore already booked for 2027! See you then!"

"We stayed here for 5 nights; the positive aspects are the size of the room and the very central location. It is necessary to point out, however, that the cleaning standards are abysmal: the room was never dusted, except after repeated requests, the bathroom was never cleaned, the carpet is embarrassing, and the linens always arrived stained. The breakfast service is decent but, if not included, it is not worth the price."

"We spent 4 nights in the Nova during late June. The room was a reasonable size, clean and in good decorative order but had no air conditioning during the hottest day of the year in Amsterdam. A small table fan was provided but it didn't really help. Luckily we were at the rear of the building so could open our windows away from the noise of traffic and trams at the front. We found it odd that there were no drawers whatsoever in the the room to put socks and underwear, just some shelves, one of which housed the safe and another the hairdryer and hotel info. Equally no shelves in the bathroom upon which to put personal toiletries. We did find the area around the hotel to be scruffy with rubbish strewn everywhere and while the hotel management cannot be held responsible for that, it did make us question the level of City Tax which is charged, partly for keeping the streets clean. We were aware that there would be a local tax to pay upon arrival but thought that it would be a couple of euros per person per night. We were shocked to be charged Euro 98.76 (£90.23) for a 4 night stay. Despite the fantastic location, we wouldn't stay there again."
