JAZ in the City Amsterdam

"The location is fantastic, this is not the first time we've been here. The rooms are good but could use an upgrade. The food in the restaurant is bad and that was really something else. Too bad, it shouldn't be that difficult, right? Overall, the location remains a big plus for the events."

"Great hotel, but the parking situation leaves something to be desired, as it does everywhere in Amsterdam. It would be great if you could set up special rates in the parking garage for guests here, for example."

"Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The staff appeared undertrained and, at times, rather demotivated. Check-in was entirely self-service, but the system was not functioning properly and had very limited capabilities when it came to handling special requests. We were also given incorrect information about the breakfast price for our children. On top of that, we had to return to reception and queue up three separate times because our room key was not working. On one of those occasions, we were eventually moved to another room because the door handle itself was defective. Free Wifi is only available if you sign up to their loyalty program with a massive advertising machine behind it. The problems continued in the new room: the shower temperature constantly fluctuated between hot and cold, roughly every five seconds, making it very difficult to shower comfortably. What was perhaps most disappointing was the lack of any meaningful response from the hotel. Given the number of issues we experienced, we would at least have expected a complimentary breakfast, some form of compensation, or even a simple note of apology. Unfortunately, none of that was offered. Overall, this was far below the standard we would expect from a hotel, and the combination of technical problems, incorrect information, and lack of customer service made our stay a very disappointing one."
