Hotel De Hallen is certainly no ordinary city centre hotel. It’s housed within a former tram depot in Amsterdam’s trendy Oud-West district, and is part of a multi-purpose cultural complex which also contains an eclectic street food hall, an independent cinema and a weekly craft market.
The hotel’s own industrial-chic aesthetic is very much in keeping with its surroundings, seamlessly blending sleek, contemporary design with the building’s heritage. When you’re not out and about exploring, there are plenty of homely spaces where you can relax, including a spacious sun terrace, a lounge area and a bar.
