Hotel Casa Amsterdam

"I came for a short stay, and I’d rate the hotel 4.5/5. Since there was no 4.5-star option, I gave it 5 stars because it really doesn’t deserve a 4! In this review, I’ll be talking about all the positive points as well as the few negative things I noticed. **Positive points: * The location:** Considering the price, the location was great! Everything we needed was accessible within around 15 minutes by bicycle. It would have been even quicker if there hadn’t been construction work right next to the hotel ( it wasn't noisy don't worry) which caused few road closures. But don’t worry you’ll find yellow signs along the roads to guide you! * Sustainability: It’s a green hotel, and that’s exactly what we want to see! 🌱 * The breakfast: We included breakfast in our stay, and honestly, we didn’t regret it at all. Everything you need is there. There are both sweet and savoury options, as well as delicious fresh fruits. * The staff: Everyone was amazing, from the receptionists to the breakfast restaurant staff. They were all so friendly and welcoming. I even noticed a chair at the reception desk, which made me happy. I hope it’s there for the receptionists to rest when they need to! It’s a small detail, but it means a lot, especially compared to what I usually see in hotels where staff aren’t allowed to sit down or drink in front of guests. * The room: The bed was very comfortable and spacious, and the view from the window was amazing! We asked for heating, and the staff provided us with an electric heater. Room service is free upon request, although we didn’t need it. The room isn’t very spacious, but honestly, you don’t need that much space! You have everything you need, so don’t worry about that. * The overall atmosphere: Cozy, chill, colourful, and sustainable. It’s a lovely place to stay! **Negative points: * The rooftop: Unfortunately, the rooftop was closed due to the weather throughout our stay. It wasn’t even raining continuously, so I was a little disappointed that it remained closed the whole time. They could perhaps consider adding a covered area so guests can still enjoy it when the weather isn’t perfect. ( We took a picture of the rooftop from the 11th floor). * The bicycles: We rented bicycles directly from the hotel because we didn’t have much time to look for other options. But, personally I had a hard time riding them, even though I booked them twice. The lights weren’t working, and fortunately, I happened to have brought my own light. There’s also no phone holder, so I’d advise you to bring one if you plan to use your phone for navigation. Overall, the bicycle experience wasn’t the best. I recommend this hotel and I would definitely come back again! Thank you."

"Nice atmosphere, beautiful hotel and the room was great! Plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet and delicious food at restaurant EAST. Rooftop terrace GAPP is a cozy place for a drink!"

"When I am in Amsterdam, I always stay at Casa 400, it feels like my home in Amsterdam! Nice rooms, clean, friendly staff, tasty coffee, newspapers, and interesting books everywhere. Sitting with a visit at the rooftop bar. The restaurant has tasty dishes, also for a small appetite. Close to metro, train and tram. It is also nice that there isn't automatic cleaning every day, but on demand if necessary. That brings peace. Until next time!"
