"Hotel is nice, however, they charged me an additional 52EUR after I had checked out. I had to email them myself to ask what this was for., only to find out they added on a City Tax. I was never made aware of this tax (not when making the booking, not when I prepaid the room and not when I checking in). I should have at least been given a heads-up. I understand that big touristic cities charge City Tax, however, it was disappointing to find out after I had left. Not Professional."

"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms have been really well renovated and the new bar and Lot61 coffee shop are great. Breakfast was good and the rooftop bar was a nice experience too. The only thing that let the hotel down was the chaotic nature of check in and check out. The reception is not big enough so queues form everywhere and the staff can’t control it. We waited 25 minutes to check in, to then have to queue another 10 minutes to bag drop because it wasn’t ready. We would stay again all things considered as it’s a great location and well appointed."

"I think this was the best location in Amsterdam! We traveled by train from London to Amsterdam and it was a 5 minute walk from Centraal train station. We had a room directly facing the canal and it was a gorgeous view. The roof top bar had incredible views and bartenders who put on a show. I imagine that place gets hopping with the young, beautiful crowd later at night, but 2 drinks there early on a Sat night was enough for this older lady, lol! We walked everywhere and it was always easy to find our way back. About a 8 minute to the Damrak ( a main avenue) and 10-12 minutes to the oldest part of town - the Red Light District- which has dozens of pubs, restaurants and shops. Close to the Canal boat tours also.It's about a 25 minute walk to the Anne Frank house and a bit farther if going to the museum district."
