"Awful hotel. Hideous and dated rooms. Self-check in like you’re in a McDonald’s. Very slow WiFi in the bedrooms. Thin and small towels in the bathrooms. Avoid."

"The main feature of this hotel was the surroundings. Recent development of the hotel across the road means you now see site access and buildings of ane new highrise hotel dwarfing the surroundings. This and the dated features of the hotel with an old fashioned appearance inside and out, with lack of maintainence in our room meaning a poorly finished bath meant at least one insect crawling out to join you. The 7.5 euros charge for the daily (not optional so in our case for two days out of 4) turning down the bed and kittle else 30 euros for us, really did suggesr profit before service."

"The location of this hotel is really great and the staff is visibly doing their best. Unfortunately, that good work is overshadowed by a clear shortage of staff and multiple structural problems. The room had an air conditioning that kept blowing freezing cold and seemed unable to go out. There was a small stove, but that didn’t work. At night the air conditioning made a lot of noise, making sleeping difficult. It was also noticed that there were hardly any outlets in the room, which is very impractical. The cleaning unfortunately left something to be desired. Although the beds were made and there were clean towels, waste was not always removed and, for example, tea/coffee was not replenished. Room service was poorly accessible; there was no answer by phone. When we indicated this below, it was first said that this was not possible, and later something turned out to be wrong, but no solution was found despite multiple requests for help. Eventually we ordered food from the bar. The hamburger that was served was raw inside, which is simply not acceptable. What I do want to emphasize: the staff really tried to help and remained friendly. The problem seems to lie mainly with a serious shortage of staff and organisation. All in all, this was a disappointing experience for us, despite the good location and commitment of the staff present"
