"The hotel is in Zaandam NOT in the Amsterdam travel zone so you’ll need to buy a travel card to reflect this. We didn’t realise but it is easy enough to tap on and off the buses, stop located nearby. The hotel is quiet and staff are really friendly and helpful. I got free coffee in the mornings! The rooms are pretty small and the beds small single but plenty comfy enough. Only one pillow however. There is a bit of building work starts around 7 in the morning but otherwise the hotel is so quiet. Breakfast is available for €12 but we just went out for breakfast anyway in Amsterdam. The hotel is a nice but walk along the canal from Zaandam station. If you fancy a change of scenery to Amsterdam, Zaandam centre is lovely with modern canal side shops and eateries."

"Cannot fault how spotless the hotel was, very nicely presented and the staff were fantastic - particularly Stefan (I believe that was his name). The rooms were quite small and basic, but the bed was very comfortable, the shower was very warm and had good pressure. The breakfast was limited but served a purpose (not hot food other than boiled eggs), and the drinks/snacks available were pricey, but as expected in a hotel. It was exactly where I needed to be for work on the outskirts of Zaandam, but if I were to stay here on a holiday then it would be too far away from the centre of both Zaandam and Amsterdam."
