Apollo Hotel Ijmuiden Seaport Beach

"Ideal location for overnight stay to board a cruise ship in IJmuiden. Embarkation point is just a quick taxi ride away. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. You can tell the hotel is old, but reasonably well maintained. The rooms are a little quirky with their nautical theme. The bathtub/shower setup may be less strange to Europeans than to Americans, but functional for a brief stay. We booked with included breakfast which was very good; lots of food choices. I probably would not stay her for a prolonged period of time, but the overnight stay worked perfectly for us."

"During our stay, we encountered serious cleanliness issues. The room appeared to have bedbugs, the toilet was dirty, and the bed sheets were not clean. After one night, I developed numerous insect bites across my back that I believe are consistent with bedbug bites. When we reported these serious sanitation concerns, the hotel staff offered no meaningful assistance or refund."

"So disappointed with this place whenever I come, but keep giving it a chance hoping they’ll invest some money here. Public areas on the ground floor are decent, but accommodation so much in need of some TLC. Good location for work for me though!"
