Oasis of calm on the edge of Marrakech city centre

At the Rose Aqua Park, you get to experience the best of both worlds: close proximity to the historic city centre of Marrakech, as well as an array of top class amenities on-site.

When you’re not winding your way through the twisting alleyways of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Medina (a 30-minute walk or 10-minute taxi ride away), the hotel’s outdoor pools are the perfect place to cool off with a refreshing dip. If you’re visiting with little ones, they’ll love the water slides at the aqua park, as well as the exciting activities on offer at the mini club.

There’s plenty of entertainment for adults too, from aqua aerobics classes and cooking workshops to dance shows and live music performances in the evenings. Feel like indulging in some soothing downtime? Head over to the spa for a traditional hammam experience, a soak in the Jacuzzi or a reinvigorating massage or beauty treatment.

Expect plenty of variety when it comes to the dining scene, with an international buffet and two à la carte restaurants to choose from – one that deals in Italian classics, and another that specialises in authentic Moroccan cuisine. With a handful of bars and a snack restaurant throughout the complex, drinks and light bites are also never far away.

Just so you know, not all rooms have a balcony. The indoor pool and hammam, as well as the two à la carte restaurants, are at an extra charge. The two outdoor pools are heated during winter (25 December - 31 January).

Find out more about Marrakech City

Marrakech is a sensory feast – a dazzling kaleidoscope of colours, aromas and sounds that makes for an unforgettable urban adventure. Nestled at the foot of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, the city is a harmonious blend of ancient traditions and modern melodies.

The beating heart of the city is the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which is a maze of narrow alleyways lined with traditional souks. Here, artisans display their crafts, from ornate lanterns and rugs to handmade jewellery and delicate perfumes. The sounds of haggling and the rhythms of Berber drums mingle with the distant call to prayer, providing a lively soundtrack for this bustling marketplace.

Jemaa el-Fna Square, the medina's epicentre, transforms as the day progresses. By day, street performers and henna tattoo artists enthral visitors, while at night, the square becomes an open-air theatre, alive with storytellers, musicians, and stalls serving fresh food.

If you’re a connoisseur of cuisine, you’ll be delighted with traditional Moroccan dishes, like slow-cooked lamb tagine, sweet pastilla, and almond ghriba cookies, which are best washed down with steaming mint tea. Or, for gourmands, there are the trendy eateries and cocktail terraces of the more modern Ville Nouvelle.

Beyond the medina, Marrakech offers tranquil gardens like Jardin Majorelle, an oasis of calm with its iconic cobalt blue structures and lush plant life, while palatial hotels and boutique riads with palm-fringed pools and shaded courtyards offer respite from the city's hustle.
