Medina Gardens - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"Very happy with the quality and choice of food at the hotel and the hygene is excellent, the bar staff are excellent and very hard working as are all of the food service staff, the entertainment is good and again the staff are very friendly and engaging but all of the staff at the hotel couldnt be faulted at all. Special mention to Karim in the fountain bar and entertainment section he had eyes on all of the tables and kept the refreshments flowing. We would definately recommend the medina gardens hotel and as very sceptical first time all inclusive travellers we were very pleasantly surprised. On the downside most of the beds by the pools had towels placed on them before breakfast and no sign of anyone present and this was the case for most of the day, the management really need to implement thier pool etiquette policy because it is a huge disapointment to see all of the beds at the pools taken with a towel on it and then nobody turns up to use the bed for hours, this above all else is the medina gardens biggest downfall and it may seem trivial but after a couple of days it becomes a bit tiring and you end up doing it yourself... Come on management, you have a policy for sunbeds being towel dropped so implement it and make it fair for all of your guests. No other faults with this hotel and it really is a gem. Last bit of advice is to not use the taxis outside the hotel as we learned the hard way that they wont tell you a price until you get to your destination and then it is always eyewiping so after two short 10 - 15 minutes trips to the jardin majorelle and to the Ben youseff restored museum from the hotel cost 200mad each which is about £17.00 gbp so we found a taxi app called indrive and it made all of the difference and we had no further problems as we knew in advance what we were going to pay for the ride. Be warned they rub thier hands with glee when they see you coming out of the hotel."

"What a lovely hotel! Arrived early in the morning to a lovely welcome. Cold flannel, mint tea and biscuits. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The entire team couldn’t have been more friendly and hospitable. There was a wide range of food in the buffet restaurant which was all delicious. The a la carte restaurant was amazing. Cocktails were also really good. There were plenty of loungers. If not by the pool you could always find one in the gardens. This was a lovely sanctuary in a brilliant location for exploring the city."

"The hotel is perfectly situated for a quick walk in2 Marrakesh literally only 5 minutes. The place is spotlessly clean, bright & a nice relaxing atmosphere. I’m guessing the more times you’ve been & the better tipper u r depends on the standard of service u get especially in the bars … I don’t kiss ass sorry fellas !! Food was always good & plenty I loved the fish tajine & the fish pakoras were amazing, the pastries were that good I even overlooked my wheat & yeast intolerance… Mistake now mind !! NOW on2 my biggest issue with the hotel. I’ve read many reviews stating about the noise from the evening entertainment. Our room was 1414 & this is about as close as you get to “ Marrakech hasn’t got talent “ we even nicknamed it “ cat screech alley “ if u ever wanted a nice peaceful night forget it from 21.00 until 23.00 it was impossible to sleep or potentially relax.. it was awful , so loud & out of tune. Thankfully we did have a thunderstorm 1 night which did mean 1 nights peace, it is genuinely awful, talentless sooooooo loud it made your ears bleed. I’m guessing our room is very possibly the worst in the hotel, no balcony so nowhere to dry washing. We never complained we were only there 4 a week & it would have meant some other poor couple would have had to suffer as we did. We spent our week around the “ quiet pool” which is a bit of a contradiction when the odd couple yabbed nr constantly we all like a good waffle but there’s a time & a place. Please don’t take from reading this I’m a grumpy Yorkshire farmers son … far from it , just an honest review!!! AVOID ROOM 1414"
