"POSITIVE POINTS
**Nice boutique hotel:** Pestana CR7 has a charming appearance that perfectly captures the feeling of a boutique hotel. The decor is stylish and modern, which contributes to a pleasant atmosphere. It is a hotel that runs the entire length of the M Avenue boulevard and is certainly worthy of a good 4-star hotel.
**Friendly and welcoming staff:** The staff is truly amazing. They are always willing to help and ensure that you feel welcome. Their friendliness makes a big difference to your stay.
**Very good location:** The location is ideal for both tourist and local experiences. You are close to various sights and the hotel offers easy access to the city. You can walk these routes or take a taxi. Note that for small taxis, the meter is running; for large taxis, charge a maximum of 5-10 euros per trip.
**New shopping street:** The proximity of a new shopping street with various restaurants, shops, hairdressers, and even a toy store is a major plus (M Avenue). The street is also secured by bollards rising from the ground and there is a police presence, which contributes to a sense of safety. Cars, bicycles, and mopeds are not allowed (except for the Hotel Pestana), allowing you to enjoy the surroundings, such as shops, restaurants, etc., undisturbed.
**Breakfast:** There are fresh fruit juices such as orange juice, detox juice, etc. There are plenty of coffee machines, which limits queuing and ensures you get your drink quickly. The breakfast seems limited but has everything you need. If you are missing something, you can always ask the staff. The breakfast area has a small station where you can have an omelet, msemen, or gringo (Moroccan pancake) made. They also make pancakes there. A small variety of nuts, bread, meat toppings, cheeses, yogurt, and much more.
**Swimming pool** Nice rooftop with a view of the Atlas Mountains. You are offered towels on-site at the pool. They come by to ask if you would like something to eat or drink by the pool (for a fee).
CONSTRUCTIVE POINTS
**Room** No drying rack on the balcony: A minor drawback is the lack of a drying rack on the balcony. It would be handy to be able to dry swimwear or other laundry. Additionally, a small table or some chairs on your terrace in the room is a PLUS POINT, which is currently missing. In the shower, there is only 1 hook provided to hang your towels. Unfortunate if you are traveling with 2 or more people. Too few bathrobes. Since we were 5 adults across 2 rooms, there was only one bathrobe available in each room. This was insufficient and caused some inconvenience, just like the number of towels compared to the guests staying in the room.
**Limited breakfast:** Maybe Some smoked salmon at the buffet. That I really missed , further everything was nice.
**pool** Unfortunately, there is no heated pool. The number of sunbeds is really limited, but they do try to help everyone out. For instance, you can sit at a table for a moment and wait until a sunbed becomes available.
In conclusion. Despite a few minor shortcomings, I enjoyed my stay here. This hotel is definitely recommended for anyone wanting to explore Marrakech, regardless of the negative reviews. Not everything you read is true. I personally experienced and witnessed the matters mentioned above. No knowledge of ants, sewage smells, etc. What I can confirm, however, is the noise (especially on weekends) because Pestana CR7 runs through M Avenue, which is a shopping street with hospitality venues, meaning it can be a bit louder for the rooms located along the M Avenue side. That does not alter the fact that elsewhere in Marrakech, such as in the Riyadhs and other accommodations in the city center or near Hivernage, you also encounter noise that is audible in the rooms or hotels (I have already experienced that on previous trips to Marrakech). Marrakech truly is a busy city that comes to life in the evening."
