Sea Star Hotel

"It is a very beautiful place and I liked it a lot. The room was very clean and everything was in order. I celebrated my birthday there and I had a great time. The staff were very polite and respectful and made me very happy with the surprise. The breakfast was perfect and every detail. I recommend visiting this fantastic hotel."

"The location and views from the rooms are stunning - nice furniture, bed super comfortable, terrace was huge. Nice space on the beach for hotel guests. There’s a supermarket a few mins walk and plenty of restaurants. Bus into Budva was easy to navigate and cheap at €2. Taxi prices were variable depending on the driver .. be mindful. It is not a 5* hotel in my opinion. Also, it didn’t seem fully finished in parts .. especially in the public areas - paint above lifts in the lobby’s, the fire exit stairs has electrical wires hanging out and pipe work visible. It’s a small hotel, 88 rooms and opened in 2023. Other parts of the hotel were beautiful - restaurant was nicely decorated, sinks in the rooms etc all good quality. The pool is small and not heated - meaning it was absolutely freezing and couldn’t use comfortably which was a real drawback. Especially as the pool is basically split in half with the hotel next door and their half is heated with a bar! I’m sure it’s ok in the hot summer months. The pool area itself is small, a few Loungers under cover, a small gym but has what you need. It was being used às a play park for 3 kids one evening, staff saw and didn’t say anything.. The wellness area from all I could see was 2 indoor beds .. no actually services on offer. Sauna was great with a Stunning view. Cleanliness of the room and daily room cleaning was not up to scratch for a 5*. On arrival there was someone’s used slipper sticking out from under the bed, long hairs on the floor and sheets were stained with patches of yellow - pressed but stained and a bit off putting. For the daily cleaning there was no consistency - one day our slippers and a robe were removed and not replaced - we asked at reception for new ones and we never received them for the rest of the stay. Bins weren’t emptied despite being overflowing .. had one teaspoon on arrival, when that was taken we had nothing and they were not replaced.. glasses put back without being cleaned etc. Room service food was good and pretty quick. Breakfast was plentiful - tall man whose name began with M was lovely and didn’t stop moving, very attentive. Duomo Italian was nice service and food! We wouldn’t stay again as for the price paid we expected more from a 5* hotel but it was nice enough, certainly didn’t detract from a great holiday - just missed some key elements."

"We had an amazing stay in the family room ("lux") room of the Sea Star. The view is the best I had in any hotel ever, panoramic unobstructed view of the sea and the beach. The room has two double beds and two single beds, separate air conditioning for each room, a kitchen with full size fridge and even dishwasher (but not enough glasses to use it...). The included breakfast was also very good. The staff was very friendly and everything was clean and new. The hotel also has a private beach with beach chairs and towels. The only downside is the parking - we came in the off season so didn't have real problems but I guess during high season parking does become a problem. If push comes to shove, paid parking is available."
