Smart Hotel Holiday

"Although this hotel was a way out from Venice, the tram was 5 minutes away and took you all the way in 35 minutes. An efficient system. The concierge whose name is Gugliemo, was a lovely person and so accommodating. One great lady in the restaurant too! (Sorry no name). Thanks to all the staff. Food in restaurant was good and English spoken. Bernie and Jill"

"Stayed in Venice for a few nights at Smart Hotel Holiday. Our room was very clean and serviced daily. There was a fab selection of food for breakfast. There is a busy road alongside the hotel but it didn't bother us, we couldn't hear the traffic; it was very convenient, also a great 10 minute interval for tram ride into Venice city centre and only 3 Euro for a return ticket. The hotel was manned 24 hours and nothing was too much trouble for the staff they were always very kind, friendly, polite and helpful. I really liked all the staff members but my ultimate favourites were "William" (Gugu...it's a long Italian spelling) and the young man who served behind the bar - makes great coffee too, can't pronounce or spell his name but it started with RE, they are all really lovely and worked so hard. A very Multinational hotel, there is a terrace outside and it was great for relaxing and watching people coming and going, I would recommend this hotel, there was nothing not to like."

"We stayed at this hotel for just one night. We didn’t have breakfast because we had an early flight. We were initially given a room on the top floor. The room was great – clean, with a very comfortable bed. Parking in front of the hotel is free. There was one major downside, though. There are two large antennas on the roof of the hotel, directly above the room we were given. Because of this, we asked to change rooms and were moved to the second floor. Unfortunately, the second room was not nearly as good as the first one. The bed squeaked, the mattresses were lower and more worn, and the bathroom was more dated. Both rooms had a bathtub rather than a walk-in shower. If you have hip problems, as I do, or problems with your knees, getting into the bathtub can be difficult – and getting out is even harder. For one night, the hotel is perfectly fine. For a longer stay, I would personally choose somewhere else."
