LH Hotel Sirio Venice

"We stayed here recently while visiting Venice and had a generally positive experience. The hotel is in a fantastic location with lovely surrounding areas and excellent transport links—surprisingly quiet despite being near a busy road. The staff were very friendly and always helpful, making our stay more enjoyable. The room was nice overall, and the fridge was a welcome addition. Breakfast was lovely, with a satisfying range of options to start the day. Communal areas had a stylish, modern feel and were mostly clean, though a bit of TLC wouldn’t hurt—some of the windows were noticeably dusty. However, there were several aspects that need attention: Only one working lift during our stay meant long waits. No tea or coffee-making facilities in the room, and when we asked, we were told none were available. Would it really be hard to provide a few travel kettles, teabags, coffee sachets, and UHT milk for guests? The bathroom lacked shelving and hooks for toiletries and towels. The room felt a bit tired, with a splatter mark on the wall near the door. One annoyance was returning to find the maid had tossed my clothes from the bed onto the floor. Would it be so hard just to fold them and place them on the table or a chair? The communal toilets could have been better maintained—they were often dirty and would benefit from more frequent cleaning throughout the day. The outdoor area felt like a smoking zone with lingering tobacco smells and dirty ashtrays. A clean, dedicated non-smoking space outside would be a lovely touch. On our last day, we stumbled upon some vending and coffee machines hidden in the back of the lounge. They were useful—but it’s a shame they weren’t clearly highlighted or pointed out during check-in. Despite the issues, we had a pleasant stay overall. The location and staff really made it, and if we return to Venice, we’d seriously consider staying here again."

"Hotel itself good,nothing special but still recommend,food ok but not great,staff very nice speaks english on a good level,rooms clean,bathroom too... Only minus was aircon,rooms extremely hot... this should be sorted before summer, otherwise it will be catastrophic...super communication to Venice center,bus stop 1min walk from hotel... everything was alright apart from aircon."

"We spent a few nights in February with the family (2 rooms). The rooms were basically ok, but there were some issues that should be taken care of. First, the rooms were extremely HOT. When I asked about air conditioning, I was advised to open the window, because AC was not operational. Which I did, but that resulted to another problem: the air outside was very polluted and caused me troubles breathing. Wall to wall carpet in the room did not help either. The bathroom had a good size and the water pressure was great. There were 2 bad things in the bathroom though. There was nowhere to hang more towels than only one. When you have 2 people staying in the room, it is obviously not enough. Second, there was no shower curtain, so when taking a shower it sprayed the whole bathroom floor wet. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Some people from the breakfast room staff were eager to assign a place to sit for you. You were not able to choose a table on your own. From the hotel there was a great bus connection to Venice. The bus was usually pretty crowded though. The reason was that the bus went past the Fincantieri shipyard and it was used by the shipyard workers. There was a Lidl store and an Ali supermarket both within a walking distance, but opposite directions. If you get tired of italian cuisine, there is a chinese restaurant next door."
