Viktoria Palace is in a quiet spot in the north of Venice’s seaside island, Lido. Its lemon-yellow exterior and flower-filled gardens give it an irresistible quaintness and charm. Lido is the Venetian island that hosts the annual Venice Film Festival – the oldest film festival in the world and still considered one of the best. You can visit the Palazzo del Cinema and imagine where the stars strut the red carpet.
Have a beach day
Swap historic sights of Venice for the Blue Flag beaches of Lido. Try the golden sand of San Nicolò Beach, close to the hotel but on the island's east side, just a 15 minute walk away. There are places to change, showers, and a playground too.
Explore on two wheels
There’s a 12-kilometre bike path around Lido, from which you can enjoy fabulous views of historic Venice, the Adriatic Sea, and other islands dotted in the lagoon.
