"Approximately 15 minutes from the ferry point by bus, this sports club cum hotel was the ideal end to a city-hopping trip. An unspectacular buildiing and surroundings but a warm reception and generally clean and pleasant rooms and areas. Our triple room was small but adequate, though the lack of a fridge feels slightly criminal. Also, given the country's reputation for style, a remarkable lack of mirrors. The on-site cafe/restaurant/sports bar is excellent, serving good quality food at excellent prices. The charcuterie board for 22Euro, which is apparently for 2, would cheerfully serve 4. Having just seen an Aperol Spritz on my return home on offer for £14.25, the 4Euro for it here represents excellent value. Of course, the main highlight of this place is the pool (which are not exactly common around Venice). The pool is a great size with a good range of depths and thankfully no silly steps inside so you can move from section to section without breaking your toes. Plenty of sun loungers (and immediate proximity to the sports bar) but unfortunately an absence of shade. Practially no shade offered naturally bar one small corner and the umbrellas are only ever going to cover one lounger at a time. Not much they can do about it other than invest in much bigger umbrellas. Very good value and given the buses are every few minutes and only 1.50Euro, you are ideally centrally located for the island."

"This hotel has such potential. We had two rooms, they were spacious, and the air conditioning was great. However it was clear that they hadn’t been tested out for comfort. The only mirror was in the bathroom, the beds were narrow and the mattresses hard. There was no fridge or kettle and the lift did t always work. The pool is much better than advertised, it’s lovely. But despite being told it was open until 7pm and that towels were available there, on the first night at 6:30pm the pool staff very reluctantly let us use the pool. The 2nd night at 6:30pm different staff refused to give us towels and were extremely rude. The food at the poolside bar was decent one night and just awful another night. The pork ribs were inedible, were or served with potatoes as advertised and the waitress tried to charge us for potatoes when we asked for them. Breakfast was decent. Such potential but poorly executed."

"I went in August when i was turned away at the turkey border due to a visa related issue. My phone was stolen at Frankfurt, Germany airport after arriving from Canada. My friends were in Turkey and i had no way to contact them, and i wanted some sun with a pool to refesh after day at beach. Lido island is very easy to use public transportation, and this resort spot is about halfway between the two main beach areas at either end of island. The staff try hard to be helpful. Lorenzo was my guy at front desk, with Stafano running a close 2nd for insight and awareness. At the breakfast buffet, Dania was always greeting with a wave and smile, and memorizes ur favorite habits so she can anticipate, and be ready to make me a fresh double cappocino instead of using the automated machine at buffet. It was nice to chat with these 3 as they all had exceptional english skills, and seemed genuinely interested in ur daily challenges. "
