Albergo Villa Marta

"The hotel is in a very peaceful location . We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and sitting in the garden . The restaurant was very good but it would be nice to have different menu options . We stayed for 4 nights and the menu was the same every day . It is it not easy to go out to another restaurant unless you have a car . Also, there are a lot of stairs including stairs up to reception when you arrive . We would have requested a ground floor room if we had realised."

"We have just got back from 8 days at Villa Marta and cannot recommend highly enough for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The location is perfect - a quiet and secluded rural setting but only ten minutes drive into wonderful Lucca. Our room was very spacious, with oak beams, tiled floors a very comfy bed! We were on the second floor with a perfect view of the hills and gorgeous olive groves which was a bonus. The staff were all excellent - friendly and relaxed and always happy to help. We ate in the restaurant several times and thought the food was excellent - Tuscan classics served with finesse. Great local wine selection too! The pool was amazing and we spent many afternoons sitting in the gazebo just enjoying the peace. 10/10 stay :)"

"A delightful small hotel just outside the town of Lucca. Rooms are comfortable, there are pleasant gardens and a swimming pool. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is located in a separate glass structure beside the main building. We ate on two evenings and the food was good quality. The only issue that guests may have is the rather steep stairs, firstly up to the front door and then up to the bedrooms. This wasn’t an issue for us but might be for less mobile people."
