Hotel Galimberti recommended.
"Excellent hotel for our four-day stay. Very well managed with friendly smiling staff always on call. The room was clean and had every facility required. Great breakfast selection, especially the cakes ! The location was very near Turin's Motor Museum which was one of the attractions for us. There is a train station nearby which takes about 15 minutes to reach the centre of Turin and a tram line which takes a little longer but is more fun. Our room was on the second floor, there was no lift, but it wasn't a big problem. I would describe the hotel as Budget range with above-Budget service. We'd go back without doubt."
Taking advantage of their location!
"Having no choice but to book this hotel due to its vicinity to the Stadio Olimpico where a rock concert was taking place and due to other hotels close-by being fully booked, this hotel took advantage of the situation and charged us a ridiculous €685 for a 4 night stay in one twin room in July! Definitely not worth the price for a 2 star hotel! A lesson for others to book early and shop around and don't let this hotel take advantage! The price charged was definitely way over the top. The rock concert was super amazing though 🙂 "
Excellent choice for a concert at the Pala Alpitour
"We stayed here for one night as we attended a concert at the Pala Alpitour stadium and the hotel was perfect for our needs. We reached it by taking the metro to Lingotto station and walking through the shopping mall and over the footbridge. On our return journey we took the train from the Lingotto train station (different to metro) as we found that was easier to get to and cost the same. It was a short walk to the stadium and the neighbourhood was very quiet. There was a supermarket a few blocks away which we were able to buy snacks and drinks in. The hotel itself was comfortable and quiet and the staff were friendly. They do offer breakfast (I believe you pay) but we left too early to try this so can't comment on it. It is a 6 minute train journey from Porta Nuovo where the airport bus goes to and there are lots of shops/sights near there so I didn't feel it was too far out to enjoy the city if you don't mind trains/metros/trams etc. I would probably stay here again."
