Hotel Michelangelo

"The hotel was in an excellent location, a few minutes walk from the railway station, buses and town. We had a superior room which was clean, but definitely not four star and worth the high price! Toiletries were minimal, only soap for the hand basin and hand and hair wash. There were no towels for the bidet! Tea and coffee was available, but only paper cups! No complimentary water in the rooms. The biggest disappointment was breakfast. Fresh fruit consisted of chopped melon and oranges, hot food was the same each day and consisted mainly of luke warm eggs and overcooked bacon. Pastries never seemed to be fresh, even the bread seemed dried up, the coffee was from a basic machine, definitely not the quality we would expect from a four star hotel. Our complimentary dinner was very disappointing, over cooked chicken, tuna and vegetables. Generally staff were helpful, but there was no warmth or welcoming atmosphere in the hotel."

"This hotel is reasonably well placed if not quite in the centre of the town and so close to the port. It's a little bit of a stretch to be designated 4 star, it's at best a 3. Most of the hard furnishings are dated and worn and the rooms generally pretty basic. Staff are finely and generally helpful, and food on offer was ok. The pool area was un-appealing, as was the roof top bar."

"Very clean, staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms have everything you need and are spacious, glorious roof top bar, excellent breakfast and we were comped a 3 course dinner that was excellent. Would very happily stay here again and again"
