A hotel with a view
As you might’ve guessed from its name, the Grand Hotel Vesuvio comes with views of the iconic Mount Vesuvius. It’s perched in a hilltop spot, nestled between olive groves and Amalfi lemon trees. Plus, there’s a free shuttle bus that’ll run you into Sorrento if you fancy a bit of sightseeing, or restaurant hopping. It’s around a 10-minute drive, or if you’re feeling energetic, you can walk there in about 25 minutes.
The hotel has a large outdoor pool with a shallow section for little ones, and a bubbling hot tub. It’s set into a roomy terrace, that’s perfect for soaking up the summer sun. There’s also a poolside bar for drinks and snacks during the day.
Breakfast comes in the form of a Continental buffet at the Vesuvio restaurant. And if you’re staying at the hotel for dinner, there’s an à la carte menu of dishes up for grabs. If you fancy a few drinks, the Vesuvio Bar has got you covered – with the added bonus of sweeping views over Sorrento and the Bay of Naples.
