Hotel Villa Garden

"Very unpleasant service in the bar and at the reception (both undriendly). Good wine but the kitchen close much too early."

"Pros-The small boutique hotel is absolutely gorgeous with gorgeous views. On the cliff with a full view of the ocean and Sorrento Port. The included breakfast was incredible and had everything you could ask for from eggs, meats, cheeses, to any pastry you could ask for. Something for everyone. We had the balcony room which was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant food was great. Cons-not many, just fyi for most. The hair dryer was pretty sad. We didn't encounter the best customer relations with most of the front desk staff...just mildly helpful and not overly friendly (not what we had experienced on the rest of our tour in Italy). The hotel is also quite far from town...a 30 minute walk or $25 taxi ride one way. So not possible to just run into town to shop or for a meal. Overall I would recommend this hotel, just a heads up mostly on distance to town."

"This is our second visit to Sorrento but the first stay in this beautiful hotel. One thing that stood out to us was how light, bright and clean all areas of this hotel are, but still keeping the Italian charm. The attention to detail in this hotel is excellent, with great decor. We had room 33, which was lovely, had a small outside terrace, bathroom with a double sink, plenty of space compared to a lot of European hotels. The views are amazing, its in a fabulous spot, quiet but not too far from Sorrento. The walk could be a little difficult due to the manic traffic and uneven paving, if you do have mobility issues, there is a local bus if that's your preference, but we walked down to Sorrento as that was our preference. The staff at the hotel are very kind and accommodating. We were celebrating a birthday and they went out of their way to make it a very special weekend. Thank you Villa Garden"
