"My daughter and I stayed at Grand Hotel Cocumella in August this year and it was as fabulous as ever. It was our 4th stay at this hotel from over the years and the location and hotel are fantastic. We particularly want to mention the wonderful friendly staff who add to the whole experience. Particular thanks to Giusepe, the chief Concierge, who continues to be as helpful, professional and as friendly as on our first visit. Also we have to mention the wonderful bartender Gennaro who is so much fun and made us laugh so much. Thank you to all at Columella and we hope to visit again"

"This hotel is pure luxury. It’s authentic and soaked in history and tradition. The grounds are stunning, beautiful gardens and stunning views. Great breakfast and wonderful staff. Loved that fact you don’t need to fuss around with towels and sun-beds - all done for you on demand. The shuttle service in and out of central Sorento is an added bonus, it saves a 20 minute walk which is intense in August heat. My only constructive criticism is that there is no coffee machine in the room, which in my experience is unusual for a 5 star hotel."

"My husband booked this historic hotel and it is a gem. The property is stunning with an amazing beach club and access to the sea. The pool is a quiet oasis surrounded by lush gardens where a refreshing breeze helps heat the heat. The staff is kind and genuine - the bartender Massimo shared enthusiastic tips for travel and lots of facts about the history of the region. Every person who works here seems genuinely happy to assist. Our room was comfortable and large with a little veranda and all the best modern conveniences. We will definitely be back - we fell in love with Sorrento and this world class experience."
