Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi

"The welcome was barely satisfactory. The parking, advertised as included, is not even located at the hotel. Even worse, the reception staff advised us not to use it, explaining that they had recently experienced a problem with it. In the bathroom, there was only one tiny packet of soap provided for two people (see photo). The breakfast buffet was extremely limited, with very little choice (see photo). In addition, the dishes and cutlery were simply dirty (see photo). Although it was around 34°C (93°F) outside, the air conditioning did not work. We reported the problem to the reception. When we returned later that day, the issue had still not been resolved. We were then offered another room, but the electricity was not working there. We were eventually moved to a third room, which was larger and had a fan. Unfortunately, the air conditioning still did not work there either, and the room was dirty. During this whole situation, I also witnessed a particularly shocking scene: the reception staff reprimanded the technician in front of guests in a manner that I found humiliating and completely inappropriate. The only positive aspect of our stay was that the Wi-Fi worked well. We will not return and cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances. In our opinion, it does not deserve its four-star rating in any way."

"This hotel fit our needs well. The room was small, but that is typical of hotels in the area, and this provides a good place to sleep. Maybe a 10-minute walk to the train station, with one subway stop even closer and many busses nearby. In this historic building, rooms are old but clean, and ours had windows opening onto a quiet back street. There is even a church on the third floor! This was our second stay at this property, and we would return again."

"The Hotel lacked many amenities, but in particular disappointment my room was so small there wasn’t a chair to sit in. Either lie in bed or go somewhere. The neighbor had several homeless people sleeping nearby. The TV was not working well, no where to sit and relax, I was forced to walk around more than I wanted. I didn’t even know there was a chapel in the hotel. No brochures or anything. Just a bad experience."
