The area’s main attraction is Villa Pamphili, one of Rome’s largest parks. It’s a great place for joggers and fitness fanatics, and offers a series of attractions such as several lakes, plenty of woodland, and the newly restored Villa Pamphili, now the centre for government conferences.
Monteverde has some very good local restaurants and fantastic pizza. You won't go away hungry in these friendly restaurants, the portions are usually humongous. Look out for tagliata draped over arugula with tomatoes, and try the thin Roman-style pizza, sold by weight.
There aren’t any metro stations in this area, but it’s crossed by numerous bus lines. Bus 871 allows you to reach neighbouring Trastevere, while the 710 connects the Lenin stop to Carini, passing through the Dora Pamphilj Park. Tram line 8 runs through the neighbourhood, reaching Piazza Venezia from Casaletto.
