"We stayed at The Style Hotel as a family of four (children 13 & 14) and occupied a Family Room. The main room size was very good. There was a large and extremely comfortable double bed and two separate singles for our boys. One was a pulled out sofa and the other was a separate temporary bed. The bathroom was compact (only a shower no bath) but smart, modern and very clean. There was a large wardrobe with two big drawers for storage. The room had a fridge / mini bar and a safe. Everything was clean and well maintained. A generous amount of free water is supplied to the room each day.
On arrival at the hotel there are some nice touches. We had a free bottle of wine in our room and a plate of lovely biscuits. There was a voucher to give all of us a free drink at the bar. There was even a hand-written welcome card in the room too. Such attention to detail and the effort to create a warm, personal, welcome perfectly sums up this hotel.
The location of the hotel is excellent. It is a few minutes’ walk to the Trevi Fountain in one direction and equally close to the Spanish Steps in the other direction. The area feels perfectly safe. Road noise was not a big issue. The emergency sirens can be loud but that’s about it. If you want to use the metro (very easy and cheap with only two main lines) the hotel is close to both Barberini and Spagna stops. Both are on Line A, but only a couple of stops from Termini where you can change to Line B. You can walk to the Colosseum area in about 20 minutes, but the metro is a good option for St Peter’s. There are lots of restaurants nearby. The Trevi Fountain area is particularly good.
The hotel breakfast buffet is very nice. There are hot options of egg, bacon and sausage. Other options are cereals, fruit, cold meats and cheese, yoghurts, pastries and bread / toast. There are a range of fruit juices and a coffee machine. The staff are cheerful and helpful each morning.
This is a great choice of hotel, but the main feature is the attitude of the staff. Literally every person we dealt with was friendly, efficient and welcoming. Unfortunately, one of our boys was ill and had to remain in our room for a couple of days. When we requested additional room supplies they arrived at our door in minutes. The staff would ask how he was and if we needed anything else. They made every possible effort to ensure we were as comfortable as we could be and had all we needed. All the staff – Reception, Housekeeping, Restaurant and Bar – should be really proud of the service they offer their guests. It was outstanding. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Rome."
