"The hotel is in a fantastic location. The main sites are easily walkable, so much so that I accidentally stumbled on a few when I went for a short walk when I arrived to get my bearings. I was travelling solo and this hotel was perfect for that. They have single rooms so no supplements for a double; it’s in the same piazza as the Italian parliament so there’s always a police presence, and no one loitering outside the hotel; and there a dozens of bars and restaurants around the hotel so I didn’t need to venture far for food. The rooms are dated, but they’re clean, and the bed was comfortable. There’s plenty of storage and a safe. And the shower was powerful and hot. There’s a hairdryer in the bathroom and toiletries provided. There’s also a mini bar which is chargeable. It was extremely warm in Rome when I was there but the air con kept the room cool enough for me. It doesn’t blast out but it clearly works as the room was never too warm. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The bar staff would bring my drink to me on the terrace at night with some snacks, which was a nice touch. The terrace was a huge bonus. I loved sitting out in the afternoon and evening for an hour to get away from the crowds and relax. There’s also some chairs at the hotel entrance where you can sit, and the lobby is a lovely space with good air con. Breakfast was perfect for what I needed - a quick bite before an early start on sightseeing. It had mostly continental with a few hot things. The croissants were lovely! There was also a coffee maker and juices available too. I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it."
