"Such a shame. Booked this restaurant for our anniversary meal (we aren't local) and the food was disappointing. Everything was extremely salty and bland and the servers did not seem to care that I couldn't eat my meal. When I told the manager that I couldn't eat my meal as it was too salty he told me that's not something we've heard before about the BBQ beef short rib meal. Not helpful and a totally unnecessary comment! I'm just gutted because it was our anniversary."

"I don't know why we chose to return to this venue, as our family's last experience was a let-down, especially as it turned out to be late my mother-in-law's last birthday. To be fair to the Three Horseshoes, all the food served to my wife and her siblings, was good. The burgers were hearty and the sea bass, a generous piece of fish, looked to be perfectly cooked. I wanted a sandwich, but from the limited choice the only option was the Warm Fish Finger Sandwich, with cos lettuce and tartar sauce (£10.45). I have had fish finger sandwiches at other venues and have always enjoyed them, typically, a generous serving of cod goujons or a smaller single piece of fried fish, served in a large bread roll, and usually served with chips. So, imagine my disappointment when I am presented a large white roll, containing two Birdeye-style fish fingers, with a small side salad and no chips (an optional extra at £4.75). I'd be embarrassed to serve that as a child's meal, but for an adult it was shameful. I may as well have just ordered a bread roll, because the miserly portion of fish, buried inside the roll, was lost on the tastebuds. I know that hospitality is under pressure as the government inflicts more and more pain across the sector, but come on, don't take your customers for fools. As I mentioned, my fellow diners were happy with their meal, but my pathetic excuse for lunch was very poor. To remedy the problem wouldn't take much imagination and, given how cheap chips are to the trade, they should be included within the price of all the sandwiches. Finally, the staff were very friendly and were generally attentive, so no issues on that front. Would I return? It wouldn't be my first choice."
