A Roma Lifestyle Hotel

"We stayed at the hotel Post cruise for 3 nights. Didn't know what to expect from this hotel as it was booked as part of a package with the cruise company. Hotel is very large, divided into 2 sections. It has a nice pool area along with a spa which we didn't see. The standard room was more than adequate, with a kettle and tea and coffee, a seperate bath and shower, with lovely big towels. Booking in was a pleasure, reception staff are lovely. What we hadn't expected or was made clear, is the hotel is a 1.5 hour walk unto Rome! Thankfully the hotel runs a shuttle bus which takes 20 minutes and costs €5 each way, well worth the money, but you need to book both journeys. The bus drops off at the Vatican or in the shopping district, approx 10 minute walk to the Patheon. Now what we didn't like... Breakfast whilst adequate was chaos, total chaos and so, not relaxing. I do suggest those that want more peace and quiet, choose to sit outside. The hotel offers an A La Carte menu, which is limited, expensive and frankly awful. It was SO salty! The service was great however. I believe they also do an evening buffet which varies between €40 & €45 way too expensive... Overall would we stop again, no in all honesty, not because the hotel was awful, but because there was zero ambience and the lack of a good on site restaurant just didn't suit us."
