Mercure Roma Centro Colosseo

"Well situated hotel 2 min walk from the Colosseum and easy walks to other main tourist sites. Plenty of cafes and restaurants across the road. Rooms were smallbut appointed well. AC worked terriblybso would be uncomfortablein. Pool and roof terrace were closed during our visit. Staff were friendly and helful. Breakfast had a good iffering but cheaper to go for a walknto many of the nearby caffee bars."

"The rooms are not large but you must remember you are in the centre of Rome close to the colosseum. The view of the colosseum from the room makes you forget about the space in the room. A special part of this hotel is the rooftop where there is a pool and a bar. We were in the off season so neither was open but we spent two hours chatting and looking at the views from the roof. Try it! I am sure you will enjoy it as much as we did!"

"I liked this hotel a lot. Was with a group attending a workshop nearby. Very convenient location near Coliseum and Circo. Several good restaurants nearby (e.g. Bistro Celio) and local places up the hill behind the hotel. Room on 3rd floor was small but very well organized for one person, not that noisy. Good internet. Electric kettle and teabags (you can ask for some milk at reception) and plenty of choice at breakfast. Receptionist helped us get a local taxi on a rainy night (and told us to make sure to ask for the meter to be on to avoid extra charges)."
