Hotel Pisa Tower

"You couldn’t get a more central hotel if you tried! We were steps away from the tower (which was obviously manic with people during the day) My daughter and I got up early one morning and had it almost all to ourselves. No food served at the hotel but lots of cafes (and a McDonald’s ) within 2 minutes walk. The lovely photos of rattan furniture in the garden should really show a small metal table with metal chairs! Staff were ok. Not chatty or overly helpful but we didn’t need much so wasn’t a problem. View from our room was the back garden although some looked out onto the square which looked nice ( I understand some family rooms don’t get the same views so this isn’t a criticism, just saying) Would I stay here again, yes as it is in a great position. Yes, I would also recommend it but don’t think you are going to get a lovely view. (But to be warned, the hotel backs onto a hospital so can get noisy with ambulances coming in)"

"We never actually stayed, because they canceled our booking a day and a half before we were scheduled to arrive. I had booked months earlier for myself, husband and two young kids. I lost my credit card between booking and traveling so when they tried to run it it failed. They emailed and WhatsApp’d me and I responded to both immediately with a new number. That also failed (I think because we were currently in Spain and Italy running a charge flagged it). I was responsive and clear that we wanted to stay. They gave me til 10pm that night, but we were out on a boat tour without our debit card or very much service. I paid as soon as I’d returned at 11:15, and they’d already canceled my booking. Leaving me without a place to stay with a one year old and five year old. No understanding or empathy from the person messaging either. By the morning it was already taken, so I assume they had someone they wanted to give the room to and were only too happy to kick us out. Very unprofessional."

"Amazing hotel, brilliant location by shopping and amenities, five minutes from the Tower and Cathedral. Clean. Cosy room and great atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend."
