Hotel Sakura Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

"This beautiful hotel nestled into a hillside just outside the main town centre of Torre Del Greco was absolutely perfect! The view of the sea was amazing, there is lots of outdoor seating either in the sun or in the shade to enjoy the glorious Italian sunshine, and plenty of indoor seating also. The rooms were spacious and comfy and had a small balcony, the beds were comfortable and the mini fridge had drinks inside (chargeable) for your convenience. The breakfast was included and was plenty of choice, and the dinner which you can make a reservation for was in a lovely dining area and the food was amazing! The absolute best part of the stay without a doubt was the staff. Every single one of them were courteous, polite, friendly, and could not do more to help if they tried. Special mention to Ilir who made our stay that little bit better. He arranged a taxi to pick us up to go to Pompeii the following morning, helped us to get a taxi back to the hotel from Torre Del Greco, bought all our drinks out to the terrace for us when we requested them, found us a charger that worked in the hotel plug sockets… he was incredible so a special thank you to Ilir!! I would recommend this hotel to anybody. It is central between Naples and Pompeii and then Sorrento, all of which we easily managed to travel to via the train. "A NIGHTMARE HOTEL We stayed with a group in the hotel for 3 nights, - breakfast and dinner. The hotel is broken, DOES NOT DESERVE ONE STAR. The rooms not only had damaged furniture, scratched walls and outdated bathrooms, but the towels were not only old, battered and torn, terribly. The breakfast is bad, glasses for juice and water are served in disposable plastic cups, coffee cups as well as bread have to be asked for separately every morning, and one morning the scrambled eggs were of a suspicious blue color?! I don't know if I would even comment on the dinner other than it's INEDIBLE. What they served us as a group is not even worthy of a homeless person and not a paid group arrangement. Salted pasta with tomato sauce, meatloaf of questionable meat quality... pudding from a bag... I won't even list it any further, it's terrible. When asked to order something else for dinner, we were flatly refused. The head of the hall is also rude and arrogant, and the rest of the staff, except at the reception, do not speak English. The first night when we ordered after that inedible dinner, (the other days we didn't even go to dinner even though it was paid for), aperol spritz, they ran out of aperol, ..so much for the bar equipment. The hotel is at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, and considering that we were with a group and a bus, going out for dinner somewhere else was not possible, and a taxi from the hotel to the center of Naples costs 60 euros. It didn't happen again, avoid this hotel in a wide area!!!"

"The room was fantastic, but the experience was very ordinary. It was almost like they were surprised that our 60 person group was arriving, the first morning, quite early, the breakfast room had RUN OUT of food, cups, cutlery and seats. Totally unprepared. Then, if you wanted a swim in the advertised pool, it was 15 Euro per person. Lastly, we were offered a 25 Euro per person pizza night, this was an absolute shambles, the house wine was off, the pizza was the same type for everyone, and was soggy, just a disaster of a night. Walkable distance to the waterfront, where we had a fabulous seafood dinner."
