Andris Hotel

"The hotel itself is ok, the pool is nice (and not charged for anymore although they do prefer you wear a swim cap which some guests ignored). The rooms are nice and the beds firm and comfortable. The breakfast was a little poor, small selection of choice, no hot food unless it was ordered specifically and we didn't see it being refilled much which means even less of a choice if you get to breakfast late! Location is very poor, it's a 2 mile downhill walk to Ercolano train station through some very fast and bendy roads. The neighbourhood is rundown and dilapidated, not nice at all. If this hotel was picked up and put 2km closer to Ercolano it'd be great, but the location really lets it down."

"The staff are lovely, the food is fantastic and the views are amazing. The hotel is extremely clean and ticks all the boxes for me. Sadly, and surprisingly, my children were shouted at for laughing in the pool by some locals who had come to lounge by the pool for the day and did not want to hear any noise. (Nor did they want to swim) Really disappointed as my usual experience is that Italians are very child friendly, especially in the south of Italy and the hotel does host an adult only area. I found the experience very upsetting, as did my children. I don’t think residents of the hotel should be subjected to that kind of abuse and I was disappointed that the people were not dealt with by the hotel manager."

"We arrived at this hotel it was very easy to find - great pArking . , very friendly and helpful receptionist Alexandra . We had 2 great rooms by the pool . The rooms were very large new and very well appointed with comfortable beds and a big bathroom dry efficient air conditioning . Mini bar kettle for teas etc ... Everything is spotlessly clean . The pool is the best thing -it’s fantastic to lie by the pool have an aperol served by the waiter. Loads of sunbeds towels provided . This hotel is a real haven we had dinner which is set and was delicious great barman who was a mine of information on the area - it’s very well situated for pompeii . It’s has a fab cafe in the daytime and the breakfast was soo; delicious our 3 girls loved this hotel . We would definitely come back we stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute at the Andris - thank you A Grundy"
