Hotel Zeus Pompei

"The location was unparalleled being a few meters from the main entrance to the archaeological park. Breakfast was wonderful with a good variety of continental style self service buffet (the pistachio bread was lovely and unexpected). The usual options of meat; cheese; bread; croissants (filled or plain); yoghurts; etc. were all there and a lovely fruit juice (orange; lemon and carrot). We queued for coffee and then collected food from a self service buffet table which you could visit as many times as desired. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a great bathroom (the shower lovely and powerful). Staff were all friendly and very helpful and all spoke good English. The main waiter at the restaurant helped us communicate with the taxi driver we had booked for the return trip to the airport as the notes on the booking.com info indicated that he was on his way and would be waiting for us 1 hour before he was due and we were concerned that he would not wait as we had just ordered a meal. The waiter spoke to him in Italian and all was sorted. The public toilets used for the campsite and the restaurant side were immaculately clean and serviced. The shop had a great range of souvenirs, snacks and essentials (we purchased waterproof ponchos as two of our days were very wet). The gelato and coffee were fantastic (as you would expect in Italy)! Disliked · The only down side was that the restaurant on site closed at 6.00pm which was a shame as the food was great and the archaeological park stayed open until 7.00pm. There were however a selection of good restaurants just down the road in the main square (a few hundred meters away)."

Some information of our campsite: Camping Zeus is located 50 meters from the main entrance of the archaeological excavations of Pompeii and a few meters from the train (local train station) that offers the possibility of quick trips to the beautiful tourist destinations: Naples, Vesuvius, Herculaneum excavations, excavations Oplonti , Sorrento Coast, Capri, Ischia and Procida, the Amalfi Coast, Positano, Ravello, Campi Flegrei, etc.. Kat görevlisi Maria ise çok yardımsever ve kibar ."

"This wound up being an unexpected gem on our trip to Italy. The location essentially across the street from the entrance to the ruins and next door to the Train Station was the reason we chose them but that wound up being just the beginning of a GREAT stay. We were not camping but staying in the hotel. The rooms were recently renovated and they were installing cobblestone paving and landscaping at the entrance which looked great. The really great thing here is the staff! They were super helpful - even at 1 am when our train got in late and the included continental breakfast had the best croissants and great coffee for a start to the day of exploration of the ruins. We liked it so much we extended our stay 2 days so we could go to Herculaneum (a few stops away from the station next door- Perfect!) Since there are great new camper van/camping facilities on site we were able to wash our clothes too! The orange trees throughout the Camper van area were a great idea - shade and fruit! This is not the ritz but if you are looking for a great location with nice rooms, really great staff and reasonable prices then this is your place! If you want 5 stars, huge rooms, high prices, formal dining and stuffy staff then find somewhere else. We will be back - hopefully soon!"
