Excellent!
"I love this property - we had to wait for a while for the room to be ready, but it’s not the B&B’s fault! We were early! To use the lift between 8am - 6pm, you need to have a 20p coin so bear this in mind if you have heavy luggage as we didn’t know and had to wait for kind strangers to let us use the lift. Room was great, so spacious, comfortable, clean and nothing to fault. Although the view of our balcony was of an internal courtyard, this is better as the road outside the B&B was very busy and noisy. Our room had a king-sized bed and also a double sofa bed. Both were comfortable. Plenty of towels and clean bathroom. Location is excellent, you’re in the middle of historical centre - so everything within walking distance and abundance of restaurants. Breakfast was at a cafe nearby the property, a pastry and coffee which is okay for us. The owner of the cafe was so nice though trying to accommodate us as we’re vegetarian - most of the pastries contain lard. For the price we pay, this property is excellent!"
SECOND STAY AT THIS WONDERFUL PROPERTY!
"There are not enough great things to say about this property! This was my second stay at Palazzo Ruffo di Bagnara, and this time I brought a large family group of 15. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. I booked directly through the property, and communication was clear, prompt, and so easy. The accommodations were fantastic. The location is another huge plus — right in Piazza Dante, with the metro just outside the door and plenty of wonderful restaurants and shops within walking distance. It’s the perfect base for exploring Naples. But the real gem of this property is Elena. She is absolutely lovely! Every day she was there preparing breakfast, answering questions, and making sure everything about our stay was perfect. Her warmth and constant smile made our visit even more enjoyable. I stayed in Room 12, which was spacious and unique, with two bathrooms — one on the main floor and another in the upstairs loft — an unexpected luxury. I can’t wait to return to Naples, and when I do, I will absolutely be staying at Palazzo Ruffo di Bagnara again!"
Stay away
"Read and pay attention to the reviews on the Booking website. The property is old and outdated, with poor breakfast options. However, this is nothing compared to the issues we faced with check-in and contacting the owner. We arrived on Sunday, and the entrance was locked. We unsuccessfully tried to use the PIN code, called the hotel (but only reached voicemail), and attempted to contact the owner, who did not answer. After spending 20 minutes in 85°F weather, we were fortunate to get in only because a resident came by and we followed her in. Keep in mind that there is NO ONE at the reception desk. Two housekeepers are present only from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you need anything after that time, good luck. I wish I had known this beforehand. I have friends visiting Nepal, and I told them to stay away from this property."
