"As a long-time Bonvoy member, having the “Luxury Collection” designation usually means a really nice play to stay. The Excelsior Gallia certainly lived up to it. One of the nicest city hotels we have ever stayed in! Great staff! Beautiful hotel both in the public spaces, hallways, and rooms. Super clean! Excellent dining options from the terrific buffet breakfast, to the Bar on the lower floor, which serves excellent food as well; to the Terrazza Dining Room with its excellen food, staff and wine; to the Rooftop Bar, which also has a menu….nice burger and osso bucco bites risotto! Short Ubers to all the top spots like the Cathedral, Sforza Castle and The Last Supper. Right across from the Centro Train Station. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

After five incredible weeks traveling around the world and experiencing numerous luxury hotels and Marriott properties, we have come to appreciate that true luxury isn’t simply about magnificent surroundings or beautiful accommodations. Our stay at Excelsior Hotel Gallia, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Milan, was the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable journey! An Unbeatable Location for Exploring Northern Italy One of the hotel’s greatest advantages is its exceptional location directly across from Milano Centrale train station. This made the Excelsior Hotel Gallia the perfect home base for our adventures throughout Northern Italy. We were able to easily explore the breathtaking destinations of Bellagio, Varenna, Lake Como, Verona, and Lake Garda, returning each evening to the comfort and luxury of this magnificent property. The hotel also offers a wonderful complimentary shuttle service to and from Milan’s iconic Duomo throughout the day, making visits to the historic city center incredibly convenient. Between the nearby train station and the hotel’s shuttle service, exploring Milan and the surrounding region couldn’t have been easier! Five-Star Spa Luxury and an Exceptional Welcome We arrived at approximately 11 a.m., well before the normal check-in time, so understandably our room wasn’t quite ready. What could have been an inconvenience turned into one of our favorite experiences! The wonderful doormen graciously assisted us with our luggage, bringing it to the spa so we could retrieve our bathing suits and begin enjoying the hotel’s spectacular five-star luxury spa while our room was being prepared. Rather than spending several hours waiting, we enjoyed an incredibly relaxing afternoon in the spa’s beautiful, luxurious surroundings. It was the perfect way to unwind after traveling and an outstanding example of the hotel’s thoughtful approach to guest hospitality. We especially want to recognize the exceptional doormen, whose warm greetings, attentiveness, and willingness to assist made every arrival and departure a pleasure. They truly set the tone for the extraordinary service we experienced throughout our stay. Extraordinary People Who Made Our Stay Unforgettable First and foremost, we must recognize Lucia, the Assistant Restaurant Manager, who was absolutely extraordinary! From the moment we met her, Lucia’s warmth, engaging personality, and genuine passion for hospitality were unmistakable. We enjoyed the most delightful conversations about Marriott properties, our travels around the world, and, most importantly, the significance of creating lifelong family memories through travel. Lucia possesses that rare gift of turning an ordinary interaction into a meaningful personal connection. She made us feel less like hotel guests and more like longtime friends. Her sincerity and enthusiasm were refreshing, and she represents everything that exceptional luxury hospitality should be. Lucia is truly a tremendous asset to this property and the Marriott family! We would also like to recognize Ilari, whose wonderful personality, friendliness, and genuine kindness added another special dimension to our experience. These personal connections are what distinguish a truly exceptional hotel. At the front desk, Chiara and Alessia were equally outstanding! Their professionalism, warmth, and welcoming personalities made every interaction an absolute pleasure. Both consistently made us feel valued and appreciated. And a very special thank-you to Veronica, the Manager, whose graciousness, flexibility, and extraordinary willingness to accommodate us made our final night in Milan particularly memorable. Her attention to our needs and commitment to guest satisfaction speak volumes about her leadership and the hospitality culture she helps foster.
