"We stayed here in June 2026 for a week as a group of 4 adults and 1 four year old. It’s about a 1hr45-2hr drive from Verona airport. The hotel can arrange a transfer for 235€ from airport to hotel. And then another 235€ from hotel to airport. We’re not fussy people, we’re happy to slum it half the time but the rooms are very basic. 2 single beds pushed together, on wheels so they move around very easily which is annoying. Decent sized bathroom, our flusher button fell off every time you touched it. The child’s bed is an armchair that folds out into a hard, metal frame bed with a very thin mattress. Our daughter climbed into our bed most nights because she was very uncomfortable and kept hitting her arms and legs on the metal as she rolled around during the night. Although ‘cleaned ‘ daily, the cleaner does a very minimal job. None of the cups have been removed and replaced during our weeks stay. Windows not wiped (having a 4 year old makes for fingerprints). Not that we need our windows cleaned but you can clearly see they aren’t doing a good job. 1 bin in the whole room which is located under the bathroom sink. All the cleaner seems to do is make the beds and empty the bin and replace 1 or 2 towels.
Some rooms are a way up a very steep hill, not ideal for older people who have to haul their luggage up a steep slope ( with no offer of help to the rooms). However, the views are stunning. TV has 2 English news channels and the rest are all German ?? The food in the restaurant is I’d say 2/3 out of 10 at most. Majority of food is stone cold, as it’s not kept on hot plates. Wrong labels on food which could be very dangerous. ( salmon ravioli was labelled sage and butter ravioli … not ideal if someone was allergic to fish). None of the dishes go with eachother. One night there was curry, but no rice. Roasted meats with no veg, plain pasta with no sauces etc. not many dishes were child friendly either. None of it really made any sense. The self serve ice cream station was constantly defrosted. And the desserts weren’t ever labelled.
Pools open at 11 and close at 6. Absolutely no entertainment whatsoever at night. Dinner starts at 18:15 and ends at 20:00 so once you’ve sort of finished your meal, the only thing to do is go to bed. Nothing for the children to do at all. Our 4 year old got bored pretty easily as you’re also not allowed any inflatables in the pools. No sign of the animation team anywhere our whole 7 day stay. And we were looking out for them as our daughter loves a mini disco in the evenings.
Limone town is about a 30 minute walk from this hotel. They do offer a free shuttle bus which is never on time and is a free for all. We were waiting for 40 minutes for one of them to turn up and were the only ones there. As more people turned up it got packed. When it eventually turned up, everyone rushes to the doors and you’re not guaranteed to get on… no matter how long you’ve waited. Which is not fair at all. Had people pushing and shoving our 4 year old out of the way to get seats. The staff say nothing either. Myself, my partner and our daughter were waiting one morning for 10 minutes, a bus turned up and told us to wait for the next one as there was only 3 of us waiting… absolutely ridiculous!! Left a 4 year old standing in the blazing sun with no shade at the bus stop at all. It shouldn’t matter how many people are waiting at the bus stop, it should make the trip regardless. So we was left waiting an extra 35 minutes for the next one to turn up…which of course was late.
There isn’t really anything about this hotel that we can recommend. Definitely do not stay here if you have children or have difficulty with hilly areas or are a fussy eater. Staff aren’t overly friendly, barely say hello. Wouldn’t recommend staying here for more than 3/4 nights at most. Definitely won’t be coming back here. Would stay more towards Limone or Malcesine as these are more touristy and have more restaurants, shop, places to visit around them."
