If you’d like to explore further afield, take a 10-minute taxi or bus ride to Sirmione. This pretty town is set on a promontory overlooking the lake, and is home to a Medieval castle and some time-stamped thermal baths. You can also hop on a ferry and discover more of Lake Garda’s lakefront towns – there’s a port within a five-minute wander.
The hotel’s restaurant will keep you fuelled for days out exploring Lake Garda. Start the day at the breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, bread, pastries, cold meats, and cheeses. They don’t serve dinner here, but Desenzano – where there are plenty of restaurants, bars and trattorias to choose from – is just 10 minutes' drive away. When you’re back at the hotel, pop to the bar for a drink or two and plan your next day on the Italian Lakes.
